Design studio based in New York

Hi, I’m Hannah

FOUNDER | PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

I grew up rearranging furniture before I understood why it mattered. Testing how a room felt when the light hit differently, when a chair faced the window instead of the wall. That instinct never left.

Holding my real estate license, I've gotten to watch what actually moves buyers: not the most expensive finishes, but the rooms that felt considered. Spaces that worked. That's the lens I design through.

Today I run a full-service design studio for families settling into the home they intend to keep. Not a starter, not a flip, the real thing. My own 1928 beach cottage, Golden Hour, is where I prove that philosophy out loud, room by room, for anyone following along.

Where it all began.

Our journey started with a single investment property resale and our very first short-term rental. Watching what the right design choices did for that one property, by design, not by accident, changed everything. It laid the foundation for the approach we apply to every client project today.

CORE BELIEF

Your home should work as hard as you do.

Beautiful and functional were never supposed to be a trade-off. Every layout, every sourcing decision, every phase of a project is made with the same question in mind: does this actually serve how you live, today and ten years from now?

STUDIO VALUES

The Pillars of The Practice

01

Function First

Design must earn its place. Before a room gets styled, it has to work — for how you actually move through your day, not how a mood board looks in a photo.

02

Built to Last

We make choices that hold up: materially, financially, emotionally. A well-designed home should still feel right in a decade, long after the reveal is forgotten.

03

Honest Process

Renovations are slow and real. We show the unglamorous parts too — the water heater before the wallpaper — because that's what building a home you'll actually keep looks like.

GET TO KNOW ME

How did you get into design?

Full circle, honestly. I went to college for interior design, then took the untraditional path to get back to it. Along the way I got my real estate license, bought, renovated, and sold two homes, and at twenty-nine I bought my third. Turns out every detour was still teaching me the same thing. Now I help homeowners make their spaces work as hard as they do. The best-looking room and the smartest one are usually the same room.

What makes your approach different?

I design for the return, not just the reveal. Every choice is made on purpose, with resale, function, and real life in mind.

What are you currently working on?

Currently, a kitchen and dining room that is multipurpose with a family lounge atmosphere. Also, Golden Hour, a 1928 beach cottage I’m restoring room by room. It’s my proof of concept and my favorite ongoing project. Read more here.
